Important: Ho Chi Minh City does not have a specialized Tourist Police force. Tourist safety is managed by local police (113) and security personnel, primarily in Districts 1 and 3. Call 113 for emergency assistance. Be cautious of scams and overcharging, especially from cyclo drivers and taxis.
Emergency Tips: Keep these numbers saved in your phone. In an emergency, call 113 (police) first. For medical emergencies, call 115. Embassy emergency lines are for consular assistance only, not for immediate life-threatening emergencies.
